...directions. Kian walked to his car and drove back to the hotel. They must get Mark or Louis to change their mind or else...
a few days later mark and kevin went out for a meal to talk, kevin suddenly looked up and said "mark i know we have only known each other for a few days, but i need to confess that i am getting very strong feelings for you, but i need to end things with rose before we can start anything."
mark then looked up and said "ok kevin i understand, kevin you do realise that my place in westlife is under threat because of louis being pig headed?." Kevin said "i know mark and we will sort that out some how you are going to have to be strong."
a few minutes later kevin's mobile rang and he looked at the display and saw it was rose calling he lifted the flip on his phone and said "hi rose, i need to tell you something and you are not going to like it. Mark looked up at Kevin and gestered to him. Kevin looked back at him puzzled "Don't!" Mark mouthed. Kevin shook his head "I have!" to he mouthed back. "Look Rose I love you, but I'm in love with someone else! A bloke actually!" Silence greated him on the other line "You're gay!" She shouted "What the hell Kevin?!" She was mad "I bet I know who it is too, you've been acting all strange since you met him! Does my brother know you fancy his band mate?" In the restaurant Kevin paled- how did she know, this wasn't good! "Rose, please calm down getting upset will not change things! You can't say anything!" On the other end of the phone Rose laughed "Of course! His fans won't like this one bit, well he took you away from me, so I'll take them away from him!" With that she hung up the phone.
Kevin stared at Mark across the table. "Kevin what is it? You ok?" MArk voiced his concern. Kevin didn't answer, instead he grabbed his coat and left, dialing a nuber on his mobile as he went
Shane, Kian and Nicky were sitting in a bar, having a meeting. "Look we just have to make them see sense! I'm sure Mark will calm down and come back, and then we can work on Louis!" Kian was saying. Nicky shook his head "You didn't see him he was really upset and angry at Louis- I don't think he will come back!" Shane sighed, what were they going to do. The conversation was interupted by his mobile "Shane, Rose knows, I'm sorry I told her!" A paniced Kevin stammered over the line. Shane sat bolt upright "What do you mean you told her? Please say you did not mention him?" "Of course I didn't mention him! But she guessed! I think she is going to tell the papers!" Shane then said "kevin just calm down, i will speak to rose in a few minutes and i will stop her from doing anything silly, even though she is my sister i will not let her ruin my best friend's career." Shane and Kevin then said "bye" and hung up.
Shane the got up from the table and said "sorry you lot, i have to go, Kevin has just phoned me and said Rose knows about him and Mark, i need to speak 2 my sister and stop her doing anything silly and anything she might regert later."
Shane then grabbed his jacket and walked out of the restaurant and got into his car and drove off leaving the others stood speechless in the restaurant door way. A short time later Shane arrived home and found Rose in tears, he said "hey sis, we won't have any tears, i'm sorry that things didn't turn out right between you and kevin."
Shane then said "please do not drag Mark's name through the mud, he has enough to deal with, what with Louis threatening his place in the band."
Rose then looked at her brother and said "Shane i don't want to hurt Mark, i am just hurt and betrayed by what Kevin has done."
Rose then said "Shane, i know you can't help who you fall in love with, but i really loved Kevin, there is something you need to know, I'm pregnant."
Shane looked at his sister in a stunned silence and said "oh my god this whole bloody mess is just getting worse by the minute."
Shane then pulled his sister to him and hugged her tightly, he gently stroked her hair while she cried on him. Couple of months later
Nicky was sitting at home with his wife Alexis. He sighed and rubbed his head, life was too hard at the moment he wished everything could just go back to the way it was. Alexis hugged him and ran her fingers through his hair. "Don't worry babe, everything will turn out ok, you'll see!" He pulled her close and put his head on her shoulder "I don't know, I really don't see how it can! I mean Mark still isn't talking to Louis, Shane can barely look at Mark and well Kian and I just feel stuck in the middle!" Alexis pulled away from Nicky and gave him a stern look "You have never been a quitter Nicky so why start now? Stick by your friends! They are going through a hard time, thats all!" Nicky nodded and sighed "Yeah you're right, I'm going to phone Kian and we can get this whole thing sorted!"
Kian was sitting in his house with Tyra. Things between them had gone from strength to strength since Westlife's unplanned break. They were sitting watching Strictly Come Dancing (Kian would much rather have been watching the X factor but he did get much of a say in the matter!" Kenny had just finished his dance and yet again was being slated by the Judges. Tyra looked over at Kian, he looked stressed, he was upset by the problems in Westlife, but wouldn't say much. She muted the TV. "Talk to me hunny! I know you're upset, you need to talk to someone!" Kian looked over and smiled "I know I just don't want to put all my problems on you!" She moved over beside him "Thats what I'm here for." He held her close and sighed "I just want things fixed. I mean things kinda went from bad to worse after Rose announced she was pregnant. Shane turned on Mark, quietly resenting him for the problems between Kevin and Rose. Kevin broke Marks heart and his own I think, to stand by Rose and 'Do the right thing'. Mark has just disappeared after the story broke, and well all Louis can care about is the band! The whole thing is just a mess!" Tyra stroked his head "It'll all turn out ok, you'll see!"
Shane, Cicilia, Rose and Kevin were sitting in a posh restaurant in Sligo. No one was saying much. The waiter arrived with their dinners, gave the group a puzzled look and left again. Rose sighed, and attempted a conversation "We had ascan today! We didn't want to know if it was a boy or a girl, but its doing fine! Isn't Kevin?" Kevin gave a small smile and a nod "Yeah the Doctor said thats it healthy, but that Rose still should take any risks." Cicilia nodded "Yeah you can't be too careful with these things." The conversation drew to a close and an awkward silence filled the table. Shane therw down his knife and fork, "I'll be back in a minute, I need some air" He went outside and leaned aginst a wall. Coward, echoed through Nicky’s mind. With his cheeks wet of tears Nicky looked over at Kian. He was still unconscious and the constant beeping from the monitors reminded Nicky of his own mortality. Wires were connected to Kian’s body and the machines kept his body functioning, for now. Nicky stroke away some hair from Kian’s forehead and then he got up and walked to the window. He looked down at the world beneath him. This day had begun so good, how could it have ended up in tragedy? Nicky felt his eyes getting filled with tears again as he remembered the horrible chain of actions that had occurred today.
**Flashback** “C’mon Nix! What are you waiting for? Kian shouted up the stairs. Nicky sighed and put down the clothes he had been holding back at the bed. The first free day in weeks and he just wanted to chill, maybe play some soccer with Brian, and not watch Kian as he went surfing on the beach. He couldn’t surf himself and he thought it was too cold to bath but Kian had been picking on him to go. With another sigh went he down the stairs and saw Kian leaning casually against the wall. What a sight, Nicky thought and felt his cock twitch a little.
“There you are! If we don’t hurry up all the best waves will be gone”, Kian said harsly but the twinkle in his eye betrayed him.
Nicky shook his head and watched Kian who was wearing a tight black t-shirt and a pair of worn blue jeans. Nicky’s look stayed at Kian’s torso a little longer. The shirt really showed of his muscles. Nicky wet his lips and began to walk down the stairs. Maybe a day on the beach will be more enjoyable that he thought. He had been fancy Kian for over a year now but too scared to walk up to him and tell Kian how he felt about it. This could maybe be his chance to get it on with Kian... **Flashback ended**
Nicky slammed his fist into the wall as the memory came back and the emotions overwhelmed him. He couldn’t have been more wrong. How could he… they know that the day would end at the hospital? If he just haven’t been so scared, if he just hadn’t been a coward. The door swung open behind him and Nicky turned around and wiped the tears that were treating to fall away.
“Oh hi, Nicky” Mark said and looked curiously at him.
Fine just what I need, Nicky thought and sat down at the chair. Mark is the only one who knows about Nicky’s orientation. He has also been suspecting that there’s something more between Nicky and Kian than just friendship. Mark stood there for a moment with a puzzled look at his face.
“Are you okay, Nicky?” he then asked with his dark voice.
“Just fine, really!” Nicky said with pretended cheerfulness in his voice. Mark nodded and sat down.
“Is it hard for you?”
Damn, Mark have seen right through me again, thought Nicky. He started to shiver and felt the tears treating to fall again. Mark got up and walked over to him where he then embraced Nicky in a friendly hug. Nicky relaxed and let his tears drop.
“I just don’t think I can take it any longer”, Nicky cried out and Mark stroke him comforting over his back.
“I understand, believe me, I do. I’ve also been in your position before. I know how it’s but, you can’t lose what you never had, remember that,” Mark said comforting.
Nicky smiled at Mark quoting one of their songs. Slowly Mark started to sing and Nicky fall in with his rocky voice. The contrast was obvious.
“Now I’m gonna confess that I love you. (That I love you) It doesn’t matter if it turns out bad. (No matter if it turns out bad) I got no fear of losing you, at least we have a moment before you say goodbye. You can’t lose what you never had”
Nicky smiled. It was a great song and so suitable for this moment. When Mark had sang to the end he released Nicky out of his grip and went back to his seat.
“Thanks Mark”, Nicky said and Mark turned around with a smile.
“You’re welcome”
**Flashback resumed** They had now reached the beach. To his surprise Nicky really enjoyed the weather. It was sunny, warmth and the water looked inviting. Kian was humming on a song Nicky didn’t recognise so he asked which song it was.
“It’s a tribute song to surfing. I call it ‘Living Ocean’. Do you like it?” he asked.
Nicky nodded. After a little while they sat down and enjoyed the view. Nicky took a look around and noticed that the beach was almost empty, just a few other surfers. The waves were high and on a pole a red flag were flapping. Nicky got a worried look and searched for Kian. He almost yelped when he saw him. Kian were preparing himself for the surfing and Nicky couldn’t miss that he wasn’t wearing a wetsuit, just a pair of bath shorts. As Kian were warming up Nicky tried to regain control of his body. He felt is cock hardening and resisted an urge to stroke it. He switched position so that Kian wouldn’t see his slowly expanding bulge. He tried to get his thoughts on other stuff and a look on the flag gave him one.
“Isn’t it dangerous to be here? If you look at that flag”, he said and pointed. Kian didn’t hear him, or ignored him, and turned to Nicky.
“Hey Nicky, aren’t you going to take a swim too?” Kian asked. “The water is fine.”
One look at Kian and he knew that if he went down into the water with him he won’t be able to control himself.
“Ehum, no. I don’t think so. I haven’t got any swimwear with me,” Nicky lied.
Kian shrugged his shoulders and cast a suspicious glance at Nicky’s bag. “Coward”, Kian said and got down into the water. Nicky watched Kian and enjoyed the view. When he felt like he was in control again he moved closer and then noticed a sign which read “Do not dive, too shallow”. The colour of Nicky’s face disappeared and he got pale. He looked panicky at Kian just in time to see him loss balance and getting overrun by the wave. Nicky screamed and run down to the shore. Some nervous heartbeat passed by without Kian reproaching again. Nicky then run out in water. He saw Kian’s surfboard but not Kian so he swam down and found Kian lying on the bottom. With all his strength Nicky dragged Kian back up on the beach and examined him. He realised that Kian was unconscious and not breathing. Fortunately Kian had a pulse. Nicky started to give Kian the mouth-to-mount technique. After a few hectic moments Kian started to breath again but regained unconscious. Nicky then discovered a nasty damage on the side of Kian’s skull, which he was bleeding from. So Nicky ran back to the place he had been on before, grabbed a towel and his cell phone and ran back down again. With the towel he stopped the bleeding and called for an ambulance after that. **End of flashback**
The last hours after the arrival of the ambulance felt like a blur and Nicky didn’t even want to remember it. The doctor had operated Kian and afterwards they said that he had got a skull fracture and a bleeding in the brain. They had succeeded to stop the bleeding but they were unsure if he could have got any brain damage. Fortunately, from what they could see, Kian hadn’t suffered any brain damages. However, they couldn’t be sure until he woke up and they could test him. His parents, Louis and the rest of the band had all get the news by phone. Nicky looked over at Kian again. He just laid there, unconscious, according to the doctors in coma. Nicky suddenly felt so tired and sat down by the side of the bed. He closed his eyes and fell asleep. A few minutes later Nicky woke up because of some moans. He turned around to Kian and almost fell of the chair. Kian was slowly opening his eyes. Kian groaned again and complained over that his head were aching and then he realised that it was only Nicky there.
“Nicky, what happened? Where am I?” he said and looked around.
Nicky felt relived that Kian at least knew who Nicky was. He explained to Kian that they were in hospital and also told him about the accident.
“I was an eejit, I realise that now. I made a mistake. Thank God that you were there and rescued me, Nix!” Kian said and watched Nicky who smiled weakly.
They sat and talked for a moment as Kian wanted to know how the others had react on the news. After some time Nicky felt that it was time. He remembered what Mark told him and took a deep breath.
“Ki, there’s something I need to tell you,” He begun, insecure about were to start. Kian looked interested at him. “Kian as you probably don’t know am I gay and…” then he stopped and waited for a respond. Kian looked interested at him with a cheeky twinkle in the eye. It encouraged Nicky.
“Kian I love you. I’ve been likening you from the start and recently, about a year, I’ve felt my emotions and feelings evolving”, Nicky babbled and looked nervously at Kian who had a cheeky smile playing at his lips. “If you don’t love me back, it’s ok, just tell me”, Nicky said as he were beginning to feel annoyed by Kian’s silence.
Kian looked like he had to think a little and then he grinned. Nicky raised his eyebrows and tapped, nervously, the arm support on the chair.
“Nix, I’m cold. Would you like to crawl down and warm me?” Kian said cheekily. Nicky got taken aback. He had been too scared to even think about a respond like this. However, he crawled down beside Kian gladly and lain there for a second. Then Kian whispered that he loved him too. With his heart beating faster and his mind full of joy Nicky rested his arms around Kian.
“I know what I’ll do when we come home now”, Kian said with a naughty undertone. Nicky groaned softly which made Kian’s grin even broader.
